Spooky times at Friendly House!

This past week, Halloween has been on the front burner. Kids love it, adults are a little overwhelmed by it (but love it, too) and the teachers here have had the best time dressing up and providing spooky, gooey and chewy (baking) activities for the kids. See photos of the fun stuff below, along with some highlighted Fall Clubs!

But first, our HEROES OF THE WEEK!

  • From Maia’s activity, “CAI explained a complicated Labyrinth Gym Game to the entire class, as he was one of the few kids that had played it with me before. He used a lot of details and explained all of the rules in a way that was clear to the students and led to a successful game.” Cai, you are a great teacher! Thanks for your attention, organization and help!
  • From Jillian in the West Room, “MICHAEL is the master of organizing blocks! He volunteers to arrange the wooden blocks in their small container, and does it better than the teachers can. Not only is his organization perfect, but he sometimes delegates responsibility to up to 4 other kids, who help him and follow his direction.” What a mastermind! And so helpful, too. Thank you, Michael!
  • From Jenelle in the Garden Room, “PJ is so responsible with his Playground Ball Bag responsibilities! When a student outside of the After School took one of our balls out of boundaries, he made a point to figure out where the ball was and safely retrieve it, putting it back in the bag where it belongs.” Thanks for taking care of our stuff, PJ! We need more kids like you around!
